Jane Binnion, author of the newly published You're so clumsy Charley, was interviewed on BBC Radio Lancashire today. You can hear it on iPlayer 1hr 20mins into John Gillmore's show: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01nh0l8
How exciting! We have chosen to launch Funky Gerbil Press at the same time it launches its first new book aimed at children with dyspraxic tendencies: You're so clumsy Charley.
The idea to publish books to get children, young people and adults talking the same language about stuff that matters has been in my head for some time now - back to when I was a classroom teacher.
This first book was born when Jane Binnion, first time children's writer, approached me to see if I could help her publish her story. We quickly secured the generous help of the very experienced and very funny (ok he doesn't look that funny) Colin Shelbourn - who has produced a whole bunch of stuff.
As of Monday 16th December 2013, both Funky Gerbil and You're so clumsy Charley have officially been unleashed on you all.
Your so clumsy Charley is now available from Amazon. Good reading!
